INITIAL VISIT
So, what can you expect at your first visit to Beattie Family Dental?
At this initial comprehensive examination, one of our staff will take the time to review your medical and dental history, along with your concerns and treatment expectations. In order to make a thorough diagnosis of your dental status, Dr. Beattie may request digital radiographs in the form of bitewings, panoramic x-ray, or a full mouth series. If you have recent radiographs from another dentist, please let us know so we can obtain copies in advance of your visit. The exam will include recording your existing dental conditions, detecting any decayed areas, and conducting a full periodontal exam and oral cancer screening. This detailed visit takes between 60 and 90 minutes.
We will also determine your specific hygiene needs and schedule an appointment with one of our experienced hygienists.
Dr. Beattie and his staff will evaluate the information and develop a plan specifically for you. This will include recommended options based on your dental goals and the fees for the services. We believe the patient needs to be fully informed of all aspects of the proposed dental work in order to have an effective partnership in achieving your dental objectives. At all times, your concerns and desires will guide our mutual decisions in any aspect of your treatment.
